One year after releasing the record that transformed her from social media star into one of pop’s most intriguing new voices, Addison Rae is celebrating a major milestone. On June 6, the singer marked the first anniversary of her debut album Addison with a heartfelt message reflecting on the whirlwind year that followed its release.

Sharing a lengthy note on Instagram, Rae described the project as a life-changing experience, thanking collaborators, fans, family members, and her creative team for helping bring her artistic vision to life. “This album coming out changed everything for me,” she wrote, before recalling a year filled with growth, self-discovery, and creative freedom. “I loved, learned, lived, laughed, cried, danced, screamed, sang, danced harder, screamed louder, and lost & found myself over and over again,” she continued.Thank you to everyone who helped to alchemize my dreaming into a reality. My partners in making music, Luka and Elvira, who are true masters as this craft, the creative team, so deeply filled with passion, the loyal and severely dedicated fans, my family whom I hope will always love and accept me anyways, my sorcerer magician managers, my trusting label for letting me share my vision, the ripped and worn clothes (or lack thereof), the inner and outer body moves, timeless choreography, the glamour, the pictures, the memories, the friends, the fame, the glory…… all of it!!!! Thank you. Pure and realized. I believe we are part of something veeeeerrrry special. If ‘Addison’ tells you anything, I hope it is to be true.. be honest.. turn your fears into your fantasy.. take control… harness your divine energy.. and shamelessly experience freedom. Engraved in my heart, body, mind and soul to yours.”
