Sophia of KATSEYE gave fans a glimpse into her current playlist during a recent livestream, revealing her longtime admiration for Madison Beer and showering praise on the singer’s latest album, locket. The 23-year-old star also showcased her vocals by covering Madison’s “Lovergirl” and Ariana Grande’s chart-topping single “hate that i made you love me.”

During the livestream, Sophia explained that she had hoped to attend Madison Beer’s concert but ultimately missed the show because of rehearsal commitments.

“I wanted to go to her concert yesterday. She invited me, but I couldn’t because I had rehearsal,” Sophia said. “I’ve been listening to locket forever — my best friends know this. I’ve been listening to her for so, so long.”

She went on to highlight several standout tracks from the record, adding: I love ‘locket theme,’ ‘yes baby,’ and ‘healthy habit.’ I just love the whole album; I think she’s amazing. ‘lovergirl’ is so good. She has an amazing voice, and I love her songwriting a lot.

Sophia then treated viewers to an impromptu performance of “Lovergirl,” drawing praise from fans for her vocal control and tone. Moments later, she switched gears by singing part of Ariana Grande’s recent No. 1 hit, “hate that i made you love me,” further demonstrating the versatility that has made her one of KATSEYE’s standout performers.

The livestream arrives during a busy period for Sophia and the rest of KATSEYE. Earlier this month, she once again addressed questions surrounding Manon’s ongoing hiatus, emphasizing that her bandmate’s health remains the group’s priority.

Despite Manon’s absence from promotions since February, KATSEYE has maintained its momentum with major appearances throughout 2026, including performances at Coachella and the American Music Awards. The group is preparing to release its new EP, WILD, on August 14, before launching the sold-out WILDWORLD Tour across North America and Europe later this year.
