Zara Larsson is used to commanding attention onstage. In recent weeks, however, it is not only her vocals or streaming milestones drawing headlines. It is her abs.
Recently, the Swedish pop star addressed the online fascination with her sculpted midsection, offering an answer that was both disarming and unexpected. “I just laugh and laugh and laugh. I don’t go to the gym. I don’t do anything special. Sorry, I’m just genetically blessed,” she said. When pressed about a workout routine, she doubled down: “People are like, ‘Seriously, what is [your workout routine]?’ No, I laugh like so much.”
The candid remarks arrive amid a particularly visible chapter in Larsson’s career. Throughout early 2026, the 28-year-old singer has showcased a toned, athletic look during high-energy performances and red carpet appearances. At the 2026 Grammy Awards, she wore a sequined one-shoulder top and matching skirt that left little to the imagination.
Yet the conversation around her physique runs parallel to a significant professional upswing. On February 28, Larsson launched the North American leg of her Midnight Sun Tour at Portland’s Crystal Ballroom, surprising fans with a cover of Britney Spears’ “Gimme More.”
The show opened with “Midnight Sun” and moved through catalog staples such as “Lush Life” and “Ruin My Life.” Newer material, including “Stateside,” her collaboration with PinkPantheress, blended seamlessly into the setlist. The single has since climbed to No. 1 on Spotify’s Daily Global Chart, marking Larsson’s first chart-topping entry on the platform.
