Zara Larsson added a dose of early-2000s pop nostalgia to the launch of her U.S. Midnight Sun Tour, surprising fans with a confident cover of Britney Spears’ “Gimme More.” The performance took place on February 28 at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, Oregon, marking the first North American date of her new run.
Midway through the set, Larsson paid tribute to the original while putting her own stamp on the track.
The moment arrived during a set already packed with momentum. Larsson opened with “Midnight Sun.” Catalog staples such as “Lush Life,” currently enjoying a renewed viral surge, and “Ruin My Life” had the crowd singing along. Newer tracks, including “Stateside,” her collaboration with PinkPantheress, blended seamlessly into the lineup.
