Meret Manon Sarpong Bannerman, known mononymously as Manon, is one of the breakout stars of the global girl group KATSEYE. Born in Switzerland to a Swiss-Italian mother and Ghanaian father, she first built an online following through Instagram and TikTok before being discovered by HYBE and Geffen Records, eventually becoming the first Black artist to sign with a HYBE label.
Despite having little formal training in singing or dancing before joining Dream Academy, Manon’s natural charisma and undeniable “star power” made her one of the competition’s standout contestants. She debuted with KATSEYE in 2024 and has since earned international recognition, helping the group achieve major milestones including an MTV Video Music Award and a Grammy nomination.
