MINNIE has developed a distinctive identity in K-pop through her dreamy vocals, songwriting abilities, and willingness to explore different musical styles. Born on October 23, 1997, in Bangkok, Thailand, the singer rose to international recognition as a member of the South Korean girl group (G)I-DLE, now rebranded as i-dle. Beyond her work with the group, she has explored acting, collaborations, and solo music, building a career that reflects her diverse artistic interests.

Growing up in a musical family, MINNIE began playing the piano at just four years old and started taking vocal lessons at six. Her mother, who frequently played the piano at home, was a major influence on her love of music. MINNIE attended Wattana Wittaya Academy in Thailand and studied music at Grammy Vocal Studio. She also developed a range of interests outside singing, including cheerleading, drumming, and acting in school productions. Fluent in Thai, English, Korean, Japanese, and Mandarin, she has brought an international perspective to her work in the Korean entertainment industry.

MINNIE’s journey toward K-pop began in 2014, when she participated in Cube Entertainment’s Cube Star World Audition in Thailand. She moved to South Korea in 2015 and was officially introduced to the public through Cube Entertainment’s social media in March 2016. On May 2, 2018, she made her debut as a member of i-dle with the group’s first extended play, I Am, and its lead single “Latata.” Her distinctive vocal tone quickly became one of the group’s defining characteristics.

As i-dle expanded its discography, MINNIE became increasingly involved in the creative process. She contributed to the composition, lyrics, and arrangement of “Blow Your Mind” and co-composed tracks including “Moon” and “Dahlia.” Her performance of “Latata” during the competition show Queendom also attracted attention for its Thai-inspired introduction. In 2019, she collaborated with Chinese-Australian YouTuber Wengie on “Empire,” which reached No. 22 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart. Her activities subsequently expanded into acting, with an appearance in the Netflix sitcom So Not Worth It, as well as contributions to Korean drama soundtracks.

In January 2025, MINNIE entered a new chapter with the release of her debut solo EP, Her, led by the title track of the same name and preceded by the single “Blind Eyes Red.” The project gave listeners a more personal look at her artistic identity outside the group. In October 2026, she announced another milestone: her first Thai-language EP, I Love You to the Moon and Back, scheduled for release on October 23, her birthday.

From her early musical education in Thailand to her success in K-pop and her growing solo career, MINNIE has continued to demonstrate her versatility as a performer and songwriter. But how closely have you followed her journey?
