Cardi B has confirmed that her third studio album is on the way — and sooner than many expected. In a series of Instagram Stories, the 33-year-old rapper addressed mounting speculation about “CB3” with a direct promise. “Ready? I’m ready,” she said in a clip filmed during a 14-hour bus ride to Sacramento. “Before the year ends? Another one. Album three coming up.” The brief statement was enough to ignite social media.

The update arrives while Cardi is in the middle of her first headlining arena run, the Little Miss Drama Tour. The North American trek, launched in February, supports her sophomore album Am I the Drama? and has already generated strong box office momentum. In recent days, she has also revealed that a custom-built studio tour bus now allows her to record between stops.

That detail adds context to her latest tease. Cardi has been open about the lengthy process behind Am I the Drama?, which arrived nearly seven years after her debut. During a late-2025 Spaces conversation, she acknowledged that overthinking delayed the project’s completion. This time, she suggested, instinct will guide the music. “The songs people like are the songs that were just a breeze to do,” she reflected.

Commercially, the stakes remain high. Am I the Drama? debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, making Cardi the only female rapper whose first two albums opened atop the ranking. The release later became the highest-certified female rap album of the 2020s and maintained an extended run inside the top 10.

Her recent tour dates have further amplified anticipation. Surprise onstage appearances from artists including Tyla and GloRilla have fueled viral moments, keeping Cardi firmly in the cultural conversation.
