The hip-hop community continues to mourn the loss of Tay Keith following the producer’s death on June 18, 2026, at the age of 29. In the hours after news of his passing emerged, several of his most frequent collaborators shared emotional tributes reflecting on both his musical legacy and personal impact.

Born Brytavious Chambers in Memphis, Tennessee, Tay Keith became one of the defining producers of his generation. His unmistakable production style helped power some of rap’s biggest records, including “Sicko Mode,” “Nonstop,” “Look Alive,” “First Person Shooter,” and “Pound Town.” Across nearly a decade, his credits stretched from Drake and Travis Scott to Sexyy Red, Chris Brown, Jack Harlow, and dozens of other major artists.

Among the first artists to publicly honor Keith was Drake, whose partnership with the producer resulted in multiple chart hits. Taking to Instagram, Drake reflected on Keith’s influence both inside and outside the studio.

Endless and eternal gratitude for your spirit and your contributions to this thing that we all love so much…..you will be deeply missed.

Their collaborations helped define a significant chapter of Drake’s career. Tracks such as “Nonstop” and “First Person Shooter” became major commercial successes, with the latter debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2023.

Travis Scott also shared a brief but heartfelt message. Tay Keith contributed to several Travis Scott records, most notably the opening section of the Diamond-certified “Sicko Mode,” which remains one of the biggest rap songs of the 2010s.

Beyond producing records, Keith had increasingly taken on a mentorship role in recent years. Through his Nashville-based label DRUMATIZED, he worked to develop emerging artists and producers while expanding his influence beyond the studio.

Meanwhile, Sexyy Red reflected on the close creative partnership they built together.

Their collaboration on “Pound Town” became one of the defining viral rap records of the decade.
