NCT 127 are enters their next chapter with BLINGY, their seventh full-length album and a nine-song statement that looks back on the group’s first decade while keeping its eyes firmly on what comes next. Released via SM Entertainment and Virgin Music Group, the album finds the seven-member act leaning into the confidence, intensity and experimentation that have become central to their identity.

At the center is “Blingy,” an explosive hip-hop title track built around distorted synths, heavy drums, rage-inspired production and dubstep elements. Its chant-heavy chorus gives the song the scale of a concert opener, immediately setting the tone for a high energy album.

Yet BLINGY is not designed to stand or fall on its title track alone. Across nine songs, NCT 127 explore different shades of their established sound, moving between hard-hitting performances, reflective moments and tracks built around the group’s connection with Seoul and their fans.

“Legacy” channels positive energy from the group’s home city, while “Piñata” turns the stage into a full-scale celebration. “Step Up” carries a message of pushing beyond limitations, and “IKR” embraces the desire to challenge expectations rather than simply repeat what has worked before.

Elsewhere, “Getaway” offers a more escapist perspective, creating a brief break from everyday life before “Day After Day” returns to the album’s recurring idea of continuing forward without losing sight of who you are. The record becomes particularly personal with “127 Million Miles,” performed by all seven members and centered on maintaining a connection despite physical distance.

That sense of unity reaches its clearest point on “I mean, It’s about time,” with TAEYONG and JOHNNY contributing lyrics to a song that looks back across NCT 127’s 10-year journey.

The album arrives after a major promotional run that included NCT 127 headlining KCON LA and appearing on NBC’s America’s Got Talent, where they performed “Piñata” before BLINGY’s official release. The group will now take the album on the road with their fifth world tour, NCT 127 5TH TOUR ‘NEO CITY – THE REDLINE,’ beginning with three concerts at Seoul’s KSPO Dome from September 18–20.
