Hinterland Music Festival 2026 moves into Day 2 today, Friday, July 31, bringing another full day of indie, alternative, pop and electronic music to the Avenue of the Saints Amphitheater in St. Charles, Iowa. After KATSEYE opened the festival on Thursday, Lorde takes over headline duties tonight alongside MUNA, Snow Strippers and Paris Paloma.
Running through Sunday, August 2, Hinterland continues its four-day celebration across its distinctive single-stage format, allowing fans to experience the festival without choosing between overlapping main-stage performances. The setting just south of Des Moines combines hillside views, camping, local food vendors and a more intimate atmosphere than larger multi-stage festivals.
Friday’s Hinterland 2026 lineup builds toward Lorde’s 10:00 p.m. headline performance on the Main Stage. The appearance comes hot on the heels of her headlining set at Lollapalooza last night.
MUNA will take the stage at 8:00 p.m., giving fans a major indie-pop performance before Lorde closes the night.
