JENNIE may have just offered fans another glimpse into her next solo era. On July 18, the BLACKPINK star shared a new Instagram Story that appears to preview the long-awaited visuals for her unreleased song “Less Than A Lover,” sending social media into speculation mode once again.
The Story features what looks like an intimate still of JENNIE alongside a mystery man, with many fans believing it comes directly from the upcoming music video for the track, which has also been referred to as “Little Less.” Although she did not provide additional details, the image immediately fueled theories that the official rollout is entering its final stages.
The latest teaser follows another cryptic Instagram Story posted on July 8, when JENNIE uploaded festival footage accompanied by the captions “sooooon…” and “less than a lover?” That post marked the first time she publicly referenced the song by name outside of her live performances, strongly hinting that both the single and its accompanying video were on the horizon.
Interest surrounding “Less Than A Lover” has continued to grow throughout the summer after JENNIE debuted the song during her Governors Ball performance in New York in June. She later included it in her headline sets at Roskilde Festival on July 3 and Open’er Festival, where audiences also heard the unreleased tracks “Lock It Down” and “Heaven.”
During her Open’er Festival performance, JENNIE also confirmed that more solo music would arrive soon. Speaking directly to the crowd, she said, “I really can’t wait to share my new music for you guys very soon,” reinforcing expectations that a new release is imminent.
The European festival run has already become a milestone in her career. JENNIE made history as the first K-pop artist to headline Open’er Festival and the first Korean solo act to top the Roskilde Festival lineup. Alongside new material, she performed highlights from her 2025 debut solo album Ruby, including “Mantra,” “Love Hangover,” “ExtraL,” “Starlight,” and “like JENNIE.”
