JENNIE is keeping the momentum around her next solo release alive. On July 19, the BLACKPINK star shared another cryptic message through her Instagram broadcast channel, posting what appears to be a fresh lyric: “The summer I chose to pause the love story.”
Although she did not reveal the song title or provide additional context, fans immediately began connecting the line to “Less Than A Lover,” the unreleased track she has been teasing throughout the summer festival season. The reflective wording also aligns with the emotional themes listeners have already associated with the song following its live debut.
The latest update arrives just one day after JENNIE fueled speculation with a new Instagram Story that seemingly previewed the music video for “Less Than A Lover,” also referred to by fans as “Little Less.” That image showed the singer sharing an intimate moment with a mystery man, prompting widespread theories that the official visual rollout has officially begun.
Interest in the track has steadily grown since JENNIE first performed it during Governors Ball in New York in June. She later added it to her headline festival sets at Roskilde Festival on July 3 and Open’er Festival, where audiences also heard the unreleased songs “Lock It Down” and “Heaven.”
