JISOO is closing in on her long-awaited solo debut album, confirming in a recent interview that the project will arrive “very soon.” The update marks the clearest signal yet that her first full-length era is imminent, following months of steady hints and rising anticipation.

Speaking about her upcoming plans, JISOO kept details limited but direct: she is actively working on the record and preparing multiple projects behind the scenes. “I’m currently working on my solo album, it will be released very soon,” she revealed. “I have many other projects that I can’t talk about yet, but I can’t wait to share them with everyone.”

Momentum around the album has been building since late 2025, when she first revealed that the project would extend beyond a short-form EP. At the time, JISOO pointed to influences like Taylor Swift and Britney Spears as creative reference points, hinting at a blend of polished pop sensibilities and strong visual identity. That direction would mark a natural evolution from her debut EP Amortage, released in February 2025, which opened at No. 1 on the Circle Album Chart and sold over 523,000 copies in its first week. Its lead single “Earthquake” topped Billboard’s World Digital Songs Chart and entered the Global 200.

Activity beyond music has kept her firmly in the spotlight. Earlier this week, JISOO was honored with the Madame Figaro Rising Star Award at the Cannes International Series Festival on April 23, reinforcing her growing presence in film and television. That recognition arrives just months after BLACKPINK returned with the Deadline EP in February, debuting at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 and generating over 63 million Spotify streams in its first week.
