Billie Eilish has reached another major streaming milestone, as “bad guy” officially surpasses 3 billion streams on Spotify. The achievement makes her the first female artist in the platform’s history to have three songs cross the landmark.
Released on March 29, 2019, “bad guy” was the fifth single from Billie Eilish’s debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? The track, written by Eilish alongside her brother and longtime collaborator Finneas, became one of the defining pop hits of its era.

Its commercial success extended well beyond streaming. “bad guy” topped the Billboard Hot 100 and charts in 16 other countries, while reaching No. 2 on the UK Singles Chart. In the United States, it ended the record-breaking 19-week run of Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road,” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, at the summit of the Hot 100.
The song also became a major awards contender, winning both Record of the Year and Song of the Year at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards.
Billie Eilish’s other two tracks above 3 billion streams are “Birds of a Feather,” currently her most-streamed song with 4.08 billion plays, and “lovely,” her collaboration with Khalid, which has accumulated around 3.93 billion. The three songs represent different stages of her career, from the breakthrough period surrounding her 2019 debut to the global success of her third studio album, Hit Me Hard And Soft.
Her streaming catalogue extends well beyond those milestones. “when the party’s over” has 2.59 billion streams, followed by “ocean eyes” with 2.35 billion and “Wildflower” with 2.34 billion.
