LISA has reassured BLACKPINK fans that the group’s story is far from over, saying Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and she will reunite once they have had enough time to focus on their individual careers. In a new appearance on In Your Dreams With Owen Thiele, the 29-year-old singer described her BLACKPINK bandmates as “my family and my best friends.”
“Right now, we’re all focusing on our solo careers,” LISA explained when discussing the group’s future. “We just finished our tour earlier this year, so we need some solo time. But once we’ve achieved what we want, we’ll be together again.”

The comments come after BLACKPINK completed the Deadline World Tour in January 2026, their first full-scale stadium tour and their first major group concert run since their individual solo chapters began following Born Pink. The trek launched at Goyang Stadium in South Korea on July 5, 2025, and concluded with two shows at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium on January 25 and 26, spanning 33 dates across Asia, North America and Europe.
Rather than treating the reunion as a permanent return to group-only activity, BLACKPINK have continued to give each member room to develop independently.
The group’s reunion also produced new music. BLACKPINK released Deadline on February 27, 2026, marking their first full-group project in more than three years. The five-track EP opened with “Jump,” followed by the title track “Go,” “Me and My,” “Champion” and “Fxxxboy.”
Commercially, Deadline reinforced the group’s enormous global reach. The project sold 1.46 million copies in its first day and 1.77 million during its first week in South Korea, while debuting at No. 1 on the Circle Album Chart and No. 8 on the Billboard 200.
For LISA, however, the current chapter is firmly centered on her solo career. Just days after BLACKPINK’s tour cycle ended, she continued building on the momentum of her 2025 debut album Alter Ego, which opened at No. 7 on the Billboard 200.
Her new song, “SaWaDiKa,” arrived on September 3 as the first single from her upcoming six-track EP PRESS PLAY. The song takes its title from “Sawatdee ka,” the traditional Thai greeting, and places LISA’s Thai heritage at the center of a bass-heavy hip-hop and trap production.
The release has already delivered a major YouTube milestone, with “SaWaDiKa” generating 70.8 million views in its first 24 hours. That made it the second-biggest 24-hour debut for a solo artist in YouTube history, behind only LISA’s own “LALISA,” which opened with 73.6 million views in 2021.
