Stray Kids have added another major streaming milestone to their résumé. The group’s new mini album THIS & THAT debuted with more than 12.8 million first-day streams on Spotify, making it the biggest opening by a fourth-generation K-pop act on the platform in 2026.
The achievement surpasses ENHYPEN’s The Sin: Vanish, which opened with 9.5 million streams, and aespa’s LEMONADE, which debuted with 8.4 million. Across all K-pop releases this year, only two projects have posted larger first-day totals: BTS’ ARIRANG, which recorded a historic 112 million streams, and BLACKPINK’s DEADLINE with 16.9 million. Stray Kids now hold the third-largest K-pop album debut on Spotify in 2026.
The project also made an immediate impact on the Spotify Global Chart, placing six tracks simultaneously. The title track “This & That” led the way at No. 31 with 2.3 million streams, while “After You” and “FARMING” followed with 1.5 million each at Nos. 98 and 103. Lead single “RUN IT” re-entered the chart at No. 132 with 1.4 million streams, and “I Do” debuted at No. 175 after collecting 1.2 million streams.
The impressive launch continues the momentum generated by “RUN IT,” which introduced the era in June. Built around explosive EDM drops, cinematic strings and aggressive hip-hop production, the single showcased the group’s signature high-energy sound while serving as the opening chapter of the THIS & THAT rollout. Upon release, the mini album expanded that formula with a diverse seven-track collection, balancing stadium-ready anthems with more melodic moments such as “After You,” highlighting the members’ evolving vocal performances without sacrificing intensity.
Commercially, THIS & THAT is proving to be another global success. Earlier today (Aug. 8), Stray Kids announced two companion remix projects—This & That (This Remixes) arriving on August 10 and This & That (That Remixes) following on August 12. Meanwhile, the mini album climbed to No. 1 on the Worldwide iTunes Albums Chart, while the official “This & That” music video became YouTube’s No. 1 Trending Music Video worldwide.
The release also follows the blockbuster performance of 2025’s Do It, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 295,000 equivalent album units and sold more than 2.21 million copies during its first week in South Korea.
