Karol G officially launched her biggest tour yet on July 24, opening the Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour with a sold-out performance at Chicago’s Soldier Field. More than 60,000 fans packed the stadium as the Colombian superstar unveiled an ambitious production celebrating the vibrant world of Tropicoqueta, delivering a career-spanning setlist alongside the live debut of new music.
The nearly two-hour show transformed Soldier Field into what Karol G described as her “Tropicoqueta universe.” Surrounded by tropical-inspired visuals, towering multi-level staging, dazzling red-and-orange lighting, oversized flowers, colorful parrots, feathers, and showgirls, she delivered one of the most elaborate productions of her career.
The concert opened with the infectious “Latina Foreva” before moving through fan favorites including “Qlona,” “El Makinon,” “Mamii,” “Amargura,” “TQG,” “Provenza,” and “Bichota.” Newer Tropicoqueta highlights such as “Papasito,” “Ese Hombre Es Malo,” “Bandida Entrenada,” and “Ivonny Bonita” blended seamlessly into the set.
One of the night’s biggest surprises came at the very end, when Karol G performed a new song titled “Matadora.”
Chicago also welcomed Venezuelan singer Elena Rose as the special guest for the opening dates.
The tour arrives following the success of Tropicoqueta, released in June 2025. The album debuted inside the top three of the Billboard 200 with 57,000 equivalent album units, becoming the fourth all-Spanish-language album by a woman to reach that milestone. It later earned a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Album, while the smash hit “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido” collected three Latin Grammy nominations and won Song of the Year.
Announced following Karol G’s historic Coachella 2026 headlining performances, the Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour spans an entire year. The global trek includes 65 stadium shows across North America, Latin America, and Europe, concluding on July 24, 2027, in Milan. Stops include Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, New York’s MetLife Stadium, Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium, Bogotá’s Estadio El Campín, and London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with select appearances from Elena Rose, Becky G, and Greeicy.
