Tate McRae closes out her defining year with So Close To What??? (Deluxe), an expanded edition that marks the final chapter of her most successful era yet. So Close To What??? adds five new tracks to the hit project, sharpening its emotional core while offering fans one more look into the narrative that shaped her breakout moment. The original album, released earlier this year, became McRae’s first Billboard 200 No. 1 and produced multiple hits, including “Sports Car,” “Revolving Door,” and “2 Hands.”
The deluxe version builds on that momentum. Led by the Hot 100 top-five single “Tit For Tat,” the project arrives a few months after her breakup with The Kid Laroi, a theme that charges several new tracks. On “Horseshoe,” Tate pours out raw honesty, confronting betrayal through a striking line: “Sleeping with another girl’s what you meant by, we were moving different ways.”
