The first New Music Friday of September arrives with an unusually strong female-led lineup, bringing together Miley Cyrus, LISA, JISOO and rising Slovak pop star ADÉLA. From Miley’s new album era to back-to-back BLACKPINK solo releases and a highly anticipated debut album, September 4 delivers a diverse set of new music across pop and K-pop.
Miley officially kicks off her new era with “Bass Persuades,” the title track from her upcoming 10th studio album, due September 18 through Atlantic Records. The release marks her first album cycle under the label after 14 years with Sony Music and follows 2025’s Something Beautiful.
Built around a gritty, guitar-driven sound, “Bass Persuades” introduces a more physical edge to Miley’s latest era. The track combines a driving rhythm with prominent bass, while Mily moves between rhythmic verses and bigger melodic moments. Its accompanying music video, directed by Mert Alas, places the singer in a neon-lit nighttime setting surrounded by dancers and rain-soaked streets.
LISA also enters Friday with “SaWaDiKa,” the pre-release single from her six-track EP PRESS PLAY, scheduled for October 23. The title draws from “sawatdee ka,” the Thai greeting, reinforcing the stronger connection to her heritage following the global pop sound of her debut solo album Alter Ego.
A major promotional campaign preceded the release, with red billboards reading “HELLO SAWADIKA” appearing in Bangkok, New York, Los Angeles and Mexico City. The music video teaser further emphasizes Thai culture through its visuals, while boxing-ring and tuk-tuk imagery add a harder performance-driven aesthetic.
JISOO follows with “CLICK,” arriving Friday at 1 p.m. KST as the pre-release single from her upcoming first full-length solo album. The song’s visual campaign introduced a surreal world filled with glitching dolls, a carousel and animatronic imagery.
Directed by Joseph Kahn, whose credits include major videos for Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga and Britney Spears, the “CLICK” video was filmed in Bangkok. JISOO has described the song as a moment designed to create the same immediate connection between herself and listeners when the track begins.
Meanwhile, ADÉLA releases her debut album Prima through Capitol. The 22-year-old Bratislava-born singer, who opened for Demi Lovato earlier this year, has assembled a record executive produced by Dylan Brady of 100 gecs and Blake Slatkin.
Prima includes previously released songs such as “KGB,” “Red Bottoms” and “Ain’t In LA,” alongside new tracks including “Nicole Kidman,” “I’m The Man,” “Boys,” “Hitachi,” “Fantasize,” “Starving Artist,” “Marijuana” and “Therapy.”
Noteworthy releases also come from Ellie Goulding, Monsta X, Rebecca Black, Paris Paloma, Ashe, and more.
