5 Seconds of Summer brought their signature pop-rock energy to Lollapalooza 2026 on Thursday, July 30, delivering a career-spanning set at Chicago’s Grant Park that celebrated both their latest era and more than a decade of fan favorites. The Australian band performed on the T-Mobile Stage from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. as part of their Everyone’s a Star! World Tour, with the set also featuring a surprise cover of Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream.”
The hour-long performance highlighted the group’s evolution from teenage pop sensations into a seasoned live act, blending new material from their 2025 album Everyone’s a Star! with major hits from their catalog.
5SOS opened the set with newer tracks including “Not OK” and “No. 1 Obsession,” immediately introducing festival audiences to the sound of their recent album Everyone’s a Star!. The group continued with songs such as “Teeth” and “Easier” from their 2020 album CALM, before moving into fan favorites like “More,” “She’s Kinda Hot” and “Amnesia.”
The performance also featured a special B-stage segment, allowing Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin to create a more intimate moment with fans.
One of the biggest surprises of the night came when 5SOS performed their version of Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream,” originally released on Perry’s 2010 album of the same name. The unexpected cover quickly became one of the most viral moments from their Lollapalooza appearance.
The group closed their set with some of their biggest anthems, including “She Looks So Perfect” from their 2014 self-titled debut album and the chart-topping “Youngblood” from their 2018 album of the same name.
Beyond their festival appearance, 5 Seconds of Summer will continue their Everyone’s a Star! World Tour throughout 2026.
