Alex Warren added another defining milestone to his rapid ascent, winning Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the inaugural U.S. TikTok Awards 2025, held December 18 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. Hosted by La La Anthony and themed “New Era, New Icons,” the ceremony honored creators and artists who shaped culture on the platform throughout the year.

Warren emerged victorious over a competitive field that included KATSEYE, Laufey, Ravyn Lenae, and sombr. The win marks his second major new-artist accolade of 2025, following his Best New Artist victory at the MTV Video Music Awards. He is also a current nominee for Best New Artist at the 2026 Grammy Awards.

The honor reflects TikTok’s central role in Warren’s breakthrough year. His breakout single “Ordinary,” lifted from his 2025 debut album You’ll Be Alright, Kid, became a cultural phenomenon on the app. The track spent ten weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, generated billions of streams worldwide, and fueled millions of user-created videos. Featuring collaborations with ROSÉ and Jelly Roll, You’ll Be Alright, Kid debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200, marking his first top-five entry and confirming his commercial staying power beyond viral success.

Born September 18, 2000, the 25-year-old artist first rose to prominence as a co-founder of the Hype House collective between 2019 and 2022. Initially known for comedy and skateboarding content, Warren pivoted toward music and signed with Atlantic Records in 2022.

Other winners at the 2025 TikTok Awards included Keith Lee (Creator of the Year), Bretman Rock (Video of the Year), and Paris Hilton (Muse of the Year).
