Anitta has secured a clear win with fans this week. According to results from InMusic’s latest poll on X, her new album EQUILIBRIVM was voted the best new release of the week, earning 60% of the vote and outperforming a competitive field of high-profile drops.
The April 17 release marks Anitta’s seventh studio album and a sharp pivot in structure and sound. Divided into two acts, EQUILIBRIVM balances her Brazilian roots—through samba, axé, and reggae—with a second half aimed at global audiences in English and Spanish. Early performance data underscores that dual strategy. Within 48 hours, the project hit No. 1 on Apple Music Brazil and topped multiple Latin American markets, while “Choka Choka,” featuring Shakira, surpassed 5 million Spotify streams.

Rounding out the poll, Olivia Rodrigo’s “drop dead” secured 5% of the vote, even as it dominated streaming platforms globally. The single debuted at No. 1 on the Global Spotify chart with 10.7 million streams on April 17, marking the biggest opening day of her career. Its
