Anitta is officially ready to complete the story she began earlier this year. The Brazilian superstar announced that EQUILIBRIVM Parte II, the second installment of her seventh studio album, will be released on July 23, bringing the ambitious two-part project to its conclusion.
The announcement comes three months after the arrival of EQUILIBRIVM, which was released on April 16, 2026, through Republic Records. Designed as a two-act body of work, the album explores the search for balance between spirituality, fame, personal transformation, and artistic evolution. While the first chapter focused almost entirely on Portuguese-language songs rooted in Brazilian traditions, the second installment is expected to expand the project with material aimed at Anitta’s global audience.
The first half of EQUILIBRIVM marked one of the boldest creative turns of Anitta’s career. Drawing from samba, axé, MPB, ijexá, reggae, and Afro-Brazilian rhythms, the record embraced themes inspired by Candomblé, the religion Anitta openly practices. Throughout the album, she reflected on spirituality, the orixás, and the personal balance she has found outside the spotlight.
Its guest list also highlighted the project’s blend of local and international influences. Collaborations included Shakira on the single “Choka Choka,” alongside appearances from Marina Sena, Liniker, Luedji Luna, Melly, Ponto de Equilíbrio, Os Garotin, Rincon Sapiência, KING Saints, Ebony, Papatinho, Los Brasileros, and Emanazul.
Commercially, the album delivered another milestone for the singer. EQUILIBRIVM generated approximately 8.2 million Spotify streams during its first 24 hours, setting the biggest debut for a Latin artist in 2026. The project also finished as Spotify’s top global album debut during the week of April 17–19, reaching No. 1 worldwide.
Although Anitta has yet to reveal the official tracklist for EQUILIBRIVM Parte II, expectations are high that the second chapter will lean more heavily into English and Spanish recordings, completing the international vision she first outlined when announcing the album.
