Exactly one year ago, Ariana Grande delighted fans with her comeback single, “Yes, And?”—the lead track from her critically acclaimed album Eternal Sunshine. Over the last months of 2024, the 31-year-old singer shifted her focus to her acting career, particularly her role in Wicked, which earned her a Golden Globe nomination. Despite her busy schedule, Ariana has continued to keep her musical career in mind. Speculation about a possible deluxe edition of Eternal Sunshine began circulating recently, especially after Ariana shared a cryptic photo of what appeared to be a music video set. She confirmed the rumors in a new interview with Variety, where she revealed that the deluxe version is indeed in the works.

“Oh, she exists! It’s a very special project,” Ariana told Variety. “I’m out there so much right now. I want to let my children miss me for two seconds. I’m excited to surprise them with it at some point, but I’m still mulling over the timing in my head. It’s not the end of Peaches just yet, but she’s going in the closet for a minute.” She also emphasized the careful selection process for the new tracks. “The album is so concise, and I didn’t want to add songs just for the sake of it. The new tracks are short, but they really count. It’s not much longer, but it’s really special in what it accompanies. I’m excited for when that day comes.”
Her comments follow recent hints at the Golden Globes, where she teased, “There is something that I made last year that will come out eventually.” Fans are also speculating whether she might make an announcement at the upcoming Grammy Awards in three weeks. Ariana is nominated for three awards, including Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, and Best Dance Pop Recording.
