Charli XCX is gearing up for her new era. The British hitmaker reconnected with fans through a voice message. The BRAT architect confirmed that new music is not only on the way—but effectively finished.

I’ve been feeling so inspired… I’ve been making things and I can’t wait to share them with you,” she said in a message shared across her channels, closing with a direct promise: “I will see you soon, angels.” The update quickly gained traction online, amplified by a second post revealing that a full album has already been recorded. Sessions took place in Paris at Rue Boyer, where Charli worked closely with longtime collaborators Alex (A. G. Cook) and Finn Keane, alongside creatives including Aidan Zamiri and Alaska. Over a focused 10-day stretch, she previewed tracks to friends while balancing studio time with fashion shows and late-night city runs.

Momentum behind the announcement builds on a busy 2026. In February, she released Wuthering Heights, a soundtrack project tied to the film of the same name. That record marked a tonal pivot, leaning into cinematic textures and experimental arrangements across singles like “House” featuring John Cale and “Wall of Sound.” Still, the scale of anticipation surrounding her next studio album feels closer to the impact of 2024’s BRAT, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and reached No. 1 in the U.K., and Australia. The project went on to secure three Grammy wins, including Best Dance/Electronic Album.

The BRAT era stretched across a global tour cycle, including the Sweat Tour with Troye Sivan and a solo run that kept her on the road through much of 2025.
