Charlie Puth surprised fans in South Korea on October 11 when TWICE’s NAYEON joined him onstage during his Whatever’s Clever! World Tour concert at Goyang Stadium. The K-pop star performed Selena Gomez’s original vocal parts on “We Don’t Talk Anymore,” turning Puth’s 2016 hit into an unexpected cross-genre collaboration in front of approximately 38,000 people.
The appearance marked Puth’s first stadium-scale concert in South Korea and his biggest show in the country to date, following his earlier arena dates and Korean debut in 2016. NAYEON’s entrance sparked an enthusiastic reaction from the crowd, particularly as she took over Gomez’s sections of the song while trading vocals with the American singer.

The pair added a playful touch to the performance with a brief duet dance, while NAYEON made heart gestures toward the audience. After the song ended, she thanked the crowd, exchanged a hug with Puth and left the stage. Charlie Puth then praised his guest, calling it “such a privilege to share the stage with her” and highlighting the abundance of talent in Korea.
Speculation about a possible surprise appearance had circulated before the concert after rehearsal footage surfaced online. Fans also noticed vocal similarities in the clips, while Puth had teased a special moment on Instagram and shared music connected to NAYEON. The singer has previously expressed his appreciation for TWICE’s music, making the unexpected meeting a natural fit for his longstanding interest in K-pop.
Originally released on May 24, 2016, “We Don’t Talk Anymore” features Selena Gomez and appeared on Puth’s debut album, Nine Track Mind. The track became one of Puth’s signature hits, peaking at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reaching the top 10 in more than 20 countries.
