BTS brought their ARIRANG World Tour to Peru for the first time, attracting 151,500 fans across three sold-out concerts in Lima and delivering a significant boost to the local economy. According to South Korean outlet Naver, the group’s October 7, 9 and 10 performances at Estadio San Marcos generated substantial spending across tourism, hospitality, transportation and other businesses.
Originally scheduled for two nights, the Lima stop expanded to three dates after demand exceeded expectations, with the additional concert also selling out.

The economic impact extended well beyond ticket sales. Peru’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) projected that the concerts would bring more than 50,000 visitors to Lima, generating an estimated $18.7 million in tourism revenue, equivalent to approximately 25.1 billion won. The Lima Chamber of Commerce and Industry separately estimated an economic impact of up to 200 million Peruvian soles, or around 78 billion won, from increased spending on accommodation, transportation, food and beverages.
Local transportation services also experienced a sharp surge in demand. According to Peruvian newspaper El Comercio, ride-hailing platform Cabify recorded up to 15 times its usual number of requests to the stadium on the first concert day, with demand soaring to 48 times normal levels immediately after the show.
BTS responded to the reception with Spanish greetings and heartfelt messages throughout the concerts. The members told the audience “Los amo” (“I love you”) and expressed amazement at the crowd’s enthusiasm during their first visit to Peru. Jimin, who celebrates his birthday on October 13, also thanked fans for showing him so much love from the other side of the world.
The Lima concerts arrive as the ARIRANG World Tour continues to set commercial records. According to Billboard Boxscore data cited in recent reporting, BTS surpassed $500 million in ticket sales from a single tour following a blockbuster August run that generated $171.7 million across 12 shows, selling 801,000 tickets. The achievement made them the first pop group in history to cross that threshold on a single tour.
Launched on April 9 at Goyang Stadium in South Korea, the tour supports ARIRANG, BTS’ first studio album following their individual activities and military service. Its schedule spans more than 88 shows across 34 cities and 23 countries, with additional dates extending into 2027.
Following the Peru shows, BTS are scheduled to continue their South American run with performances in Santiago, Chile, on October 14, followed by Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 16 and 17.
