Rosalía returned to Saturday Night Live on October 10, delivering two visually striking performances of songs from her acclaimed 2025 album LUX. Serving as the musical guest for Season 52, Episode 3, the Spanish singer performed “Reliquia” and “Magnolias,” bringing the album’s classical influences and theatrical ambition to the NBC stage.
The appearance marked her second full turn as SNL’s musical guest, following her MOTOMAMI-era debut in March 2022, when she performed “Chicken Teriyaki” and “La Fama.” She had also made a brief appearance during Bad Bunny’s performance in 2021, but this time, the spotlight belonged entirely to her.

Rosalía opened with “Reliquia,” standing en pointe for nearly four minutes without moving her feet. Dressed in a black plate tutu with a lace bodice, she performed in front of white curtains illuminated by the shadows of orchestral musicians. The Spanish-language song unfolded with the singer almost entirely alone onstage, allowing the music and the precision of her posture to command attention.
As the performance approached its conclusion, dancers appeared in lines on either side of Rosalía while strobe lighting transformed the scene. Yet the singer maintained her pointe position throughout, turning stillness into the defining feature of the performance. The physical control also reflected the ballet training she incorporated into the choreography for her LUX tour, which recently concluded after 57 sold-out dates.
For her second performance, Rosalía chose “Magnolias,” the closing track on LUX, marking the song’s first live television performance. The staging took a more elemental direction, with an artificial rain shower erupting over the singer midway through the song.
The performances arrived during a significant period for the album, which blends pop with classical and operatic elements while drawing on spiritual and saintly imagery across 14 languages. LUX topped Billboard’s Classical, Latin and World Albums charts and earned widespread critical acclaim.
Rosalía also appeared briefly in a comedy sketch earlier in the episode, hosted by Shane Gillis for his third time.
