Coachella 2027 could bring together three major names from pop, R&B and alternative music. According to a new report from TMZ, Dua Lipa, SZA and Tame Impala are nearing deals to perform at the California festival, which will return for two weekends in April.
The 2027 edition is scheduled for April 9-11 and April 16-18 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. It’s worth noting that organizers have yet to confirm any performers.

The rumors also build on an earlier report from Hits Daily Double in September, which identified Dua Lipa and Tame Impala as likely headliners, with SZA emerging as a strong contender for one of the festival’s top positions. Fred again.. was also linked to the traditional “Returning to the Desert” billing, a prominent slot often reserved for an established artist making a notable return to the festival.
If the reported agreements materialize, the three acts would bring distinctly different sounds to the California desert. Tame Impala, Kevin Parker’s psychedelic music project, previously headlined Coachella in 2019 and is currently promoting Deadbeat, its 2025 album. The project has also maintained a strong presence through collaborations and recent releases, including “Dracula” with BLACKPINK’s JENNIE and “Loser.”
Dua Lipa, meanwhile, would make her first full solo appearance at Coachella. Her previous involvement dates back to 2017, when she joined Martin Garrix during his set. The potential booking would also carry an interesting connection to Parker, who contributed extensively to her 2024 album Radical Optimism, bringing his production sensibilities to the pop star’s dance-oriented sound.
SZA would arrive with more recent festival history. During Coachella 2026, she joined Justin Bieber onstage for a performance of “Snooze” during Weekend 2, one of the notable guest appearances of the edition.
According to the reports, organizers also approached BTS and Rage Against the Machine, but both acts passed on the opportunity. Miley Cyrus had reportedly declined an earlier offer as well.
The potential bookings follow a 2026 edition headlined by Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber and Karol G, who made history as the first Latina artist to headline Coachella. The lineup also featured The Strokes, David Byrne and Anyma.
