Doja Cat is giving flowers to SZA. On September 23, the Grammy-winning rapper and singer took to X/Twitter to praise her longtime collaborator, calling SZA “the siren of this century and my favorite voice.”

The comment naturally brought fans back to “Kiss Me More,” the 2021 hit that first united Doja and SZA. Released as the lead single from Doja’s Planet Her, the track became one of the defining songs of that year. Built on a interpolation of Olivia Newton-John’s “Physical,” it climbed to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and dominated charts globally.

Beyond its commercial success, “Kiss Me More” made history as the longest-running all-female top 10 hit in U.S. chart history. The track also earned both artists their first Grammy Award when it won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance in 2022.

Years later, SZA is still in the spotlight following the extended success of SOS, her record-breaking 2022 album that spent multiple weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Meanwhile, Doja is gearing up for the release of her highly anticipated album Vie this Friday. The singer has been vocal about her creative growth leading into the new album, describing it as her most polished project yet. Following the release, she’ll launch her Tour Ma Vie world tour on November 18 in Auckland, New Zealand.
