The 2026 Grammy Awards nominations have officially been revealed, and this year’s announcement brought both emotional outpourings and unforgettable reactions from some of the biggest names in music. The Recording Academy unveiled the full list on November 7, with Kendrick Lamar leading the pack with nine nominations — including Album, Record, and Song of the Year — while Lady Gaga followed closely with seven, thanks to her chart-topping album Mayhem. As always, the moment the news dropped, social media exploded with excitement as artists shared their disbelief, joy, and gratitude.

Among the biggest surprises this year is the rise of global girl group KATSEYE, who earned nominations for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. The six-member powerhouse — Daniela, Manon, Sophia, Lara, Megan, and Yoonchae — became one of 2025’s breakout acts with their infectious hits “Gnarly” and “Gabriela.” Their nominations sparked a wave of raw emotion across Instagram. Daniela wrote, “WHAT!!!!!!!! Two noms?????” while Manon admitted she “can’t stop crying.” Sophia added, “Oh my goodness, I can’t believe this,” and Lara confessed, “We got nominated for not one but two Grammys. I can’t breathe.” Megan simply wrote, “So grateful,” and Yoonchae, in true understated style, posted a simple “Wow.”

Two other Best New Artist contenders, Sombr and Addison Rae, also shared heartfelt reactions. Sombr expressed gratitude to the Recording Academy for the acknowledgment, while Addison Rae posted emotional photos of herself captioned with disbelief and tears of joy. Both have seen their careers skyrocket this year, making their nominations a validation of their hard work.

Meanwhile, Sabrina Carpenter continues her winning streak. After her breakout success earlier this year, she’s back with six Grammy nominations, including Album, Record, and Song of the Year for Man’s Best Friend. The pop sensation took to Instagram to celebrate: “6 nominations :’) I am so floored and grateful thank you @RecordingAcad.”

For BLACKPINK’s ROSÉ, the moment was nothing short of surreal. In previous interviews, she admitted that a Grammy nomination had always been a lifelong dream — one she shared with her fans. Now, her hit “APT.” is nominated for both Song and Record of the Year. On Instagram, she called it “Unreal.”

Zara Larsson also achieved a major career milestone, earning her first-ever Grammy nomination for Best Dance Pop Recording with Midnight Sun. Her reaction was pure euphoria. “B*tch I’m a Grammy-nominated artist!!!!!!”

Cardi B returned to the nominations list with her fiery single “Outside,” from her new album Am I The Drama?. Nominated for Best Rap Performance, Cardi celebrated the honor in her signature style: “All I had was 16 dollars and a dream.”

After five nominations last year without a win, Shaboozey woke up to three fresh chances this time around. “Woke up to 3 Grammy nominations,” he wrote, sharing a smiling selfie from bed.

Rounding out the reactions, FKA twigs celebrated her nomination for eusexua, writing, “Had a happy cry in bed this morning. Thank you so much to all my twiglets for building this moment with me.” Meanwhile, Kehlani, whose sultry single “Folded” earned an R&B nomination, praised divine timing: “BY THE GRACE OF GOD. RNB!!!!!!!!”
