Gracie Abrams is on track to reach a career-defining milestone. According to early projections from HITS Daily Double, her third studio album, Daughter from Hell, is expected to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 120,000–130,000 equivalent album units in its opening week.
If the forecast holds, the project will become Abrams’ first chart-topping album in the United States and the biggest debut of her career. The projected total would comfortably surpass the opening-week performance of 2024’s The Secret of Us, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and marked her commercial breakthrough.
Streaming has fueled much of the album’s early momentum. Singles “Hit the Wall” and “Look at My Life” have emerged as the strongest performers from the campaign, while fan favorite “Good Reason” has quickly established itself as one of the record’s biggest tracks.
The album has already delivered an impressive first weekend on Spotify. On July 17, Daughter from Hell generated 17.96 million global streams, with six songs entering Spotify’s Daily Global Songs chart. “Good Reason” led the way at No. 49 with 2.056 million streams, followed by “Look at My Life” at No. 75 and “Hit the Wall” at No. 95. “Death Wish,” “The Knife,” and the title track also secured chart debuts.
Abrams also boosted the album’s commercial push with an unexpected release strategy. On July 19, she announced two limited-time bonus tracks, “Out of Nowhere” and “Love Letter,” available exclusively through iTunes.
The exclusive digital release could provide an additional sales boost during the Billboard tracking week, complementing the album’s already strong streaming performance.
