Harry Styles is offering a rare glimpse into the mindset behind his latest era. In a newly released teaser from Apple Music, the singer reflects on his chart-topping single “Aperture” ahead of a full conversation with Zane Lowe, set to premiere March 4 — two days before the arrival of his fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.
The one-minute preview centers on “Aperture,” which Styles describes as a personal turning point. “Do I do this because this is what I’ve been doing for a long time or do I do this because I really love it?” he asks candidly. The question frames a broader reflection on growth and accountability. “Being able to look at myself and actually just grow up a little bit and take responsibility for places in my life where it was maybe my fault just freed me from so much.”
Released on January 22 through Erskine and Columbia Records, “Aperture” was co-written with longtime collaborator Kid Harpoon, who also produced the track. The single debuted at No. 1 on both the UK Singles Chart and the Billboard Hot 100, marking Styles’ third chart-topper in each territory. On Spotify, it opened with 12.478 million streams globally in its first full day, the largest streaming debut of 2026 to date.
For Styles, the song’s significance extends beyond metrics. “It’s why I think ‘Aperture’ felt like a perfect start to me,” he says in the teaser. “You can move forward when you acknowledge the things that you don’t know and therefore give yourself the space to let life.” He continues, emphasizing the emotional core of the track: “This song is going to be in my life forever. That is what the joy is.”
The full interview is expected to expand on the creative process behind Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally., his first full length project since the Grammy-winning Harry’s House.
