Harry Styles has returned to the charts in major fashion. The global pop star’s new single “Aperture” debuts at No. 2 on the ARIA Singles Chart, marking his first entry in nearly three years.
The track serves as the lead single from Styles’ forthcoming fourth studio album, Kiss All The Time. Disco Occasionally., which is set to arrive on March 6th. With its immediate chart impact, “Aperture” becomes Styles’ 13th top 10 single as a solo artist in Australia.
While the song narrowly missed the top position, its opening-week performance places Styles among the most reliable chart performers of his generation. He previously reached No. 1 twice as a solo act, with “Sign of the Times” spending one week at the summit in 2017 and “As It Was” dominating the chart for eight consecutive weeks in 2022.
His chart history stretches even further back. As a member of One Direction, Styles logged 10 top 10 singles in Australia, including the group’s 2015 chart-topper “Drag Me Down.”
This week’s chart is led once again by Olivia Dean, whose breakout hit “Man I Need” holds at No. 1 for an 11th consecutive week. The singer continues her strong run, with “So Easy (To Fall In Love)” climbing back to its previous peak at No. 4, up from No. 6.
On the albums side, veteran metal band Megadeth claim a milestone moment. Their self-titled 17th and final studio album debuts at No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, becoming the American thrash legends’ first chart-topper in Australia. The release also leads the Vinyl Albums Chart and marks their 11th top 50 appearance overall.
Elsewhere, Louis Tomlinson enters at No. 3 with his third solo album How Did I Get Here?, following 2020’s Walls (No. 6) and 2022’s Faith in the Future (No. 2). Poppy also lands a career milestone, debuting at No. 7 with Empty Hands, her first album to reach the ARIA top 50.
