Ice Spice gave fans a glimpse of what’s to come, teasing her new single “THOOTIE.” The Bronx rapper shared a 15-second clip from inside a luxury jewelry store, sporting bright pink hair and dancing while the hook—“Thootie, thootie”—plays in the background. The short snippet quickly spread across social platforms, signaling that Ice Spice is preparing to release new material.
This marks the second time she has previewed the song. Earlier this month, she posted another video with the track playing faintly in the background, building anticipation among fans. But what does “THOOTIE” actually mean? Pronounced thoo-tee, the word is a familiar New York slang term. It stems from “thotty” or “thot,” an acronym for “That Ho Over There,” but Ice Spice reimagines it through her signature mix of flirtation and unfiltered confidence.
The new teaser arrives at the beginning of the rollout for her sophomore album. Just weeks ago, Ice Spice returned with “Big Guy” on November 14, the lead single from a SpongeBob film soundtrack. The RIOTUSA-produced track blends her icy flow with a hypnotic drill bounce, and its instantly meme-able chorus—“Big guy, big guy, big, big guy, big guy / SpongeBob, big guy pants, okay (Grrah)”—has taken over TikTok and X.
