Speculation around a possible collaboration between BLACKPINK’s Jennie and Tame Impala has intensified over the past few days. While there is no official confirmation of a joint project as of January 24, the convergence of recent events has been enough to send fans into full investigative mode.

The first spark came when Kevin Parker, the creative force behind Tame Impala, quietly followed Jennie on Instagram. It might sound minor, but Parker follows relatively few accounts, making any new addition noticeable to fans who closely track his activity. The timing raised eyebrows, especially given his recent comments in interviews. Earlier this month, Parker openly expressed interest in collaborating with K-pop artists and singled out BLACKPINK as the first group that came to mind when asked who he would like to work with in an interview with Apple Music. While he did not name Jennie directly—sharing particular admiration for Lisa instead—the connection felt immediate to fans.

Fuel was added to the fire when Jennie posted a series of Instagram Stories featuring Tame Impala’s “Dracula.” The song appeared multiple times across her Stories within a short span, a move many interpreted as intentional rather than coincidental.

Despite the excitement, it is important to separate enthusiasm from fact. Neither Jennie, her label ODDATELIER in partnership with Columbia Records, nor Tame Impala’s camp has issued any statement confirming a collaboration. No release plans, studio sightings, or credits have surfaced. For now, the story remains firmly in rumor territory, driven by fan interpretation.

What is confirmed, however, is that Jennie is preparing for a new solo chapter. In a recent interview with V Magazine for its Spring 2026 issue, she spoke candidly about entering her thirties and embracing a more personal creative direction. Jennie confirmed she is working on new solo music set for release in 2026, teasing a deeper focus on vocals and a blend of Korean and English influences.
