KATSEYE’s Daniela Avanzini turned the group’s October 15 concert in Atlanta into a personal family moment when she brought her mother, Ana Llorente, onstage during “Gabriela,” naming her the Gabriela of the night. The surprise unfolded at State Farm Arena in Daniela’s hometown, transforming one of the tour’s regular fan interactions into a celebration of the family and Latin heritage that helped shape her career.
During the performance, Daniela typically selects someone from the audience to join the group’s “Gabriela” segment, which features an extended dance break and plenty of fan interaction. This time, however, she chose her own mother, whose decades of experience as a professional ballroom dancer and choreographer played a central role in Daniela’s early development as a performer.

The moment carried particular significance given the song itself. “Gabriela,” a Latin-tinged R&B-pop track from KATSEYE’s 2025 Beautiful Chaos EP, features Daniela delivering a Spanish-language falsetto bridge that highlights her cultural background. Bringing Ana onstage during the song created a full-circle moment, connecting the music to the person who helped introduce her to dance long before she stepped onto an arena stage.
Born in Atlanta, Daniela grew up in the northern suburbs, including Roswell, with her family deeply involved in the performing arts. Her mother, Ana, is Cuban and became the first Cuban woman to win a world ballroom championship, building a career as a dancer, choreographer, instructor and coach. Daniela’s father, Rafael Avanzini, is Venezuelan and also works as a professional ballroom dancer and instructor. Both parents introduced Daniela to Latin dance when she was a child, training her in styles including ballroom, samba, Afro-Cuban dance and cha-cha.
The concert also marked another milestone on THE WILDWORLD TOUR, KATSEYE’s first arena and world tour supporting their 2026 EP WILD. The project debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 170,000 equivalent album units, including 145,000 pure album sales and 26.95 million on-demand audio streams in its opening week. The North American leg began in Miami on October 13 before reaching Atlanta two days later.
