KATSEYE has reassured fans that Manon remains a central part of the group’s story. During a red carpet interview with Entertainment Tonight, Lara confirmed that the singer will appear throughout the upcoming documentary KATSEYE: Wild Hearts, despite recent concerns following her absence from public appearances.
The comments came as Lara, Daniela, Megan and Yoonchae represented the group on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere, while Sophia was absent after missing last weekend’s Hinterland Festival due to illness.
Asked why it was important for the film to include Manon, Lara made the group’s position clear. “She will forever be such an integral part of the journey of KATSEYE… of course she’s included in the film,” she said. She added that fans can expect to see “so many beautiful moments with Manon” when the documentary premieres later this month.
The reassurance arrives ahead of the worldwide theatrical release of KATSEYE: Wild Hearts, which begins on August 12, just two days before the group’s third EP, Wild, arrives on August 14. Directed by Nadia Hallgren, the feature-length documentary follows KATSEYE’s journey from the intense Dream Academy competition through their emergence as one of pop’s fastest-rising global acts.
Running approximately 80 minutes, the film combines never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage, member interviews and fan-submitted videos to explore the group’s highs and lows, creative growth and close relationship with EYEKONS. The documentary has been described as both a celebration of the group’s achievements and the beginning of a new chapter.
The LA premiere comes during one of the most successful weeks of KATSEYE’s career. Just one day earlier, the group earned its highest-ever Billboard Hot 100 debut as “Animal” entered the chart at No. 24. The single surpassed the opening weeks of “Pinky Up” (No. 28) and “Internet Girl” (No. 29), while becoming their second-highest-charting song overall behind “Gabriela,” which peaked at No. 21 earlier this year.
Released as the latest preview of Wild, “Animal” has already generated nearly 25 million Spotify streams, giving the group another major commercial breakthrough ahead of the EP’s arrival.
