KATSEYE are once again fueling anticipation around their next release, teasing what appears to be the imminent arrival of their new single, “Internet Girl.” As the year winds down, the global girl group signaled that fans may still have one last surprise to look forward to before the calendar flips.
The latest tease arrived on TikTok, where KATSEYE reposted a fan video predicting that “INTERNET GIRL IS DEFO DROPPING BY NEW YEAR.” Rather than shutting down the speculation, the group leaned into it. “wait should we give you one last gift before the year ends?” they replied, sending their fanbase into overdrive. While no official release date has been announced, the timing and tone of the interaction strongly suggest that “Internet Girl” could be next in line.
The buzz surrounding the track has been building for weeks. In late November, KATSEYE unveiled a full live performance video of “Internet Girl” on their official YouTube channel, offering fans their clearest look yet at the unreleased song. The performance was filmed during the opening night of their Beautiful Chaos Tour on November 15 at the Minneapolis Armory, where the track made its live debut. Introduced without prior announcement, the song quickly became one of the night’s highlights, spreading across social media within hours.
That Minneapolis show marked a major milestone for the group. It was KATSEYE’s first-ever headlining concert, and the confidence on display reflected a group coming into its own. The setlist moved seamlessly through highlights from their SIS and Beautiful Chaos EPs, including “Debut,” “Gameboy,” “Mean Girls,” “Gnarly,” and “Gabriela,” while “Internet Girl” stood out as a potential statement track for their next era.
The Beautiful Chaos Tour follows a breakout year for Daniela, Megan, Lara, Manon, Sophia, and Yoonchae. Released on June 27 via HYBE, UMG, and Geffen Records, Beautiful Chaos debuted in the top 10 of the Billboard 200, a significant achievement for a newly formed global group. Singles from the project expanded their reach, with “Gnarly” entering the Billboard Hot 100 and “Gabriela” gaining traction across streaming platforms. The momentum was further validated by KATSEYE’s first two Grammy nominations, including Best New Artist.
