Kehlani is officially in album mode again. The R&B star confirmed that her next studio album will arrive in 2026, marking her first full-length release since 2024’s Crash. The announcement came in the most heartwarming way possible — through an interview with her five-year-old daughter, Adeya Nomi Parrish Young-White, for Billboard.
In the clip, Adeya adorably asked her mom if she was “working on a new album.” Kehlani smiled and responded with certainty: “You know I’m working on a new album, girl. It’s coming next year.”
Alongside the album news, Kehlani teased her new single, “Out the Window.” While she hasn’t revealed an official release date, the singer did share a 34-second snippet online.

“Out the Window” follows the success of “Folded,” one of Kehlani’s biggest songs to date. The track became a viral hit on TikTok, where fans turned its post-chorus into a popular sound. Commercially, “Folded” peaked at No. 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 and climbed to No. 1 on the Rhythmic Airplay Chart, marking one of her strongest solo performances in recent years. Kehlani has also been active on the collaboration front. In 2025, she appeared on Mariah Carey’s “Sugar Sweet” and Cardi B’s “Safe.”
Kehlani’s upcoming project will arrive two years after her 2024 album, Crash, which was both a critical and commercial success. The record — released via Atlantic Records — featured guest appearances from Jill Scott, Young Miko, and Omah Lay.
Produced by a stacked team including Dixson, Oak Felder, Ant Clemons, and GuiltyBeatz, Crash delivered standout singles such as “After Hours,” “Next 2 U,” and the title track “Crash.” The album later earned a Grammy nomination for Best Progressive R&B Album at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards.
