Kehlani confirmed that her new album is complete after a celebratory moment surfaced on social media, signaling that her long-awaited follow-up to Crash may be arriving sooner rather than later.
The news emerged through an Instagram Story shared by her longtime collaborator and producer Khris Riddick-Tynes. In the brief clip, Kehlani can be heard enthusiastically shouting, “We finished it, album done!” The spontaneous celebration immediately circulated among fans online, fueling anticipation for the singer’s next era.
While no official release date has been confirmed, the project is widely expected to arrive during the first half of 2026. The timing would mark Kehlani’s first full-length album since Crash, which arrived in 2024.
The singer first confirmed that new music was underway late last year in a notably personal moment. During a lighthearted interview with her five-year-old daughter, Adeya Nomi Parrish Young-White, Kehlani revealed that a new album was already in development. In the clip, Adeya asked her mother directly if she was working on another project. Kehlani responded with a smile and a simple answer: yes, the album was coming in 2026.
Since then, listeners have already received an early glimpse of the upcoming era. Kehlani released two songs believed to be connected to the new record: “Out the Window” and “Folded.” The latter quickly became a defining moment in her career. “Folded” climbed into the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100, giving Kehlani her biggest solo chart success to date. That acclaim translated into major recognition at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, where “Folded” won Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song.
