Kehlani has officially announced her new album, Kehlani, set to arrive on April 24, 2026. The self-titled project will be released on her birthday, with the singer confirming the news through a short but direct statement shared online.
“KEHLANI, the album yours on my birthday, 4/24,” she wrote, alongside the official cover artwork — a tight close-up image that introduces the new era. No tracklist has been revealed so far, but previously released songs “Folded” and “Out the Window” are widely expected to appear on the record.
The announcement follows weeks of growing anticipation. Earlier this month, longtime collaborator Khris Riddick-Tynes posted a spontaneous studio clip confirming the album was finished, capturing Kehlani celebrating the moment in real time. That brief video quickly circulated across social media, fueling speculation that a new era was imminent.
“Folded” became a major turning point, breaking into the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 and marking Kehlani’s biggest solo hit to date. The track’s impact extended into awards season, where it won Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, reinforcing her position at the forefront of contemporary R&B.
That success builds directly on the foundation of Crash, released June 21, 2024. The album — which featured collaborations with Jill Scott, Young Miko, and Omah Lay — earned a nomination for Best Progressive R&B Album at the 67th Grammys.
Kehlani began teasing the full-length project in late 2025. At the time, she was interviewed by her five-year-old daughter, Adeya Nomi Parrish Young-White, for Billboard. Adeya asked her mom if she was working on a new music. The R&B star smiled and responded with certainty: “You know I’m working on a new album, girl. It’s coming next year.”
