Laufey has released “How I Get,” the first single from her forthcoming deluxe album, A Matter of Time: The Final Hour, due April 10. The song is out now on all major streaming platforms, offering an early glimpse into what the Grammy-winning singer describes as a softer, more reflective continuation of her third studio era.
Announcing the track on social media, Laufey shared her excitement directly with fans. “How I Get is out today!!” she wrote, confirming that pre-orders and pre-saves for the expanded project are now live. She described The Final Hour as a natural progression. “The light is softer, the air like spring after the storm, stepping into a new emotional chapter,” she added.
Originally released on August 22, 2025, A Matter of Time marked a subtle but meaningful evolution in Laufey’s artistry, as she widened her sonic palette on the record. Collaborations with producer Spencer Stewart and Aaron Dessner of The National added understated indie textures to her orchestral foundations.
The commercial response matched the creative growth. The album debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and climbed to No. 3 on the UK Albums Chart, becoming her first top-ten entry in the United Kingdom. Earlier this year, it earned Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album at the Grammy Awards.
