Lola Brooke is officially in her iight bet! era. Today (Nov. 14), the rapper unleashes her highly anticipated sophomore project via Team 80 Productions/Arista Records. Arriving exactly two years after her debut album Dennis Daughter, the seven-track project captures the Brooklyn artist at a defining moment. Fame, pressure, and rapid success can easily shift an artist’s trajectory, yet Lola responds with clarity and conviction. iight bet! stands as both a personal manifesto and a reminder that resilience remains the core of her artistry.

The EP’s message is rooted in self-reckoning. Lola frames the project as a challenge—to herself and to anyone questioning her staying power. Every track circles back to the declaration that gives the EP its name: a refusal to fold, a commitment to rise with purpose, and a promise to define her voice on her own terms. That spirit fuels “Pain,” a standout track that pays homage to the legendary Mary J. Blige by sampling “No More Drama.” Its music video places Lola firmly on New York concrete, grounding her narrative in community, grit, and the city that shaped her.

Speaking about “Pain,” Lola explains how the “No More Drama” sample honors Mary J. Blige’s legacy of strength and survival. She frames the track as an extension of the EP’s core message: the shift from vulnerability to resolve. “I was going through it before, but now it’s none of that,” she says.

Across the EP, Lola blends hard-hitting street anthems with bold, genre-bending moments, all tied together by the fierce attitude that powered her breakout hit “Don’t Play With It.” Notably, fast-rising rapper N3WYRKLA appears on the sixth track, “Invest.”

iight bet! arrives exactly two years after her debut album Dennis Daughter. That record saw Lola teaming up with some of the genre’s heavyweights, including Latto, Yung Miami, French Montana, and Coi Leray. It also featured one of the rapper’s biggest hits to date: “You” with Bryson Tiller. Dennis Daughter also earned Lola a BET Award nomination for Best New Artist.

Lola Brooke’s iight bet! is out now on all streaming platforms.
