Madison Beer has addressed the viral moment that saw her stop a recent concert in Manchester and confront security staff after multiple fans in the crowd appeared to require medical attention. Speaking directly to fans in a follow-up video, the singer explained why she felt compelled to intervene during her Locket Tour stop, saying she could no longer ignore what she was witnessing from the stage.

There were 50 people waving their flashlights, and I kept singing, thinking security would see it and handle it,” Beer said. “10 seconds later, I look over to my right and see him just staring at me. I’m snapping and pointing toward the crowd where someone fainted, and he doesn’t even turn around.”

The incident occurred during the European leg of The Locket Tour, with videos from the show quickly circulating across social media. Footage showed Beer pausing the performance and directing attention toward sections of the audience where fans appeared distressed in the packed general admission area.

According to Beer, her frustration was not directed at security teams as a whole but at what she perceived as a lack of urgency in that specific moment. “I’m looking at him, asking what he’s doing,” she continued. “I know I got frustrated, but guys, I’m watching a group of people who need medical help not get any attention. What am I supposed to do? Just keep going?”

As audience members used their phone flashlights to signal for assistance, Beer initially expected venue staff and medics to respond without her needing to interrupt the show. Instead, she said the situation continued unfolding in front of her with no immediate action being taken, prompting her to stop the concert until help arrived.

The singer also pushed back against criticism that she had overreacted. “Let me make this clear: there have been venues that have been amazing on this tour, and I didn’t say a word,” she explained, emphasizing that the issue was not representative of every venue or security team she has worked with throughout the run.

The Locket Tour launched on May 11, 2026, in Kraków and spans 32 dates across Europe and North America. Support acts include Isabel LaRosa, Thủy, and Lulu Simon, while the tour is scheduled to conclude on July 13 in New York City. It supports Beer’s third studio album, Locket, and marks her first arena-sized headline run.
