Mariah has shared several teaser videos across her social media platforms that give fans a glimpse into the style and mood of “Type Dangerous.” In one standout clip, she’s seen behind the wheel of a sleek McLaren 720S Spider, confidently cruising in a tank top with the song title printed across it. In true Mariah fashion, the teaser transitions from her 2005 anthem “It’s Like That” into a mysterious audio file labeled “T:D_MC16.mp3”—fueling speculation that this isn’t just a one-off single, but the start of her next major era. In another short teaser, she appears in full glam, applying lipstick in a mirror as a subtle snippet of the new track plays in the background.

While an official album announcement has yet to be made, fans are already dissecting the details. The most telling clue? The license plate “MC16” featured in the teaser clip, which has led many to believe that “Type Dangerous” is the lead single from Mariah’s long-rumored 16th studio album. If confirmed, this would be her first full-length project in over six years.
