Mariah Carey is officially back with her sixteenth studio album, Here For It All, arriving tonight, September 26. The project marks her first full-length release in seven years, following 2018’s Caution, and is being issued through her own imprint Mariah in partnership with Gamma.

The album is set to deliver what fans have been waiting for: a mix of timeless ballads, breezy summer tracks, and deeply personal reflections. In June, the pop icon revealed that the record was inspired by her journey over the past decade, including motherhood and personal growth. “We got some Mariah ballads,” she teased at the time, promising a collection both intimate and celebratory.

Singles and Rollout

The campaign kicked off on June 5 with the release of “Type Dangerous”, her first new single in seven years. The track built immediate buzz, reintroducing Carey’s vocals in a sleek, modern production style. On July 25, she followed with “Sugar Sweet”, a collaboration featuring Shenseea and Kehlani. Promotion for the album leaned heavily on nostalgia and legacy. On July 20, Carey posted a 37-second video montage counting through her discography, from her 1990 debut to Caution. The next day, she unveiled the official artwork with a stylish teaser where she struts in heels before belting out a snippet of the title track.

A Symbolic Release

The release date carries extra weight: September 26 falls exactly 30 years after the release of Daydream, the 1995 classic that produced “Fantasy” and “One Sweet Day.” For Carey, the timing underscores her legacy while signaling a new chapter. With L.A. Reid returning as executive producer, Here For It All aims to balance fresh energy with the timeless sound that has made Carey one of the most enduring voices in music.
