As mentioned above, Miley confirmed that a new LP is coming out in 2025. The 31-year-old singer revealed that it will be a visual album. But what does ‘visual album’ mean exactly? A visual album is a project where there is a strong visual component. Each song is connected to the others and is accompanied by a video, creating a cohesive narrative that goes beyond sound. An iconic example of a visual album is Beyoncé’s 2016 LP Lemonade.
In her conversation with Harper’s Bazaar, Miley unveiled some details about the album. She revealed that she took inspiration from Pink Floyd’s legendary album The Wall, adding her own touch with “better wardrobe and more glamour.” She also described the project as “hypnotizing” and “glamorous.” “It’s a concept album that’s an attempt to medicate a somewhat sick culture through music,” she said.
Something Beautiful will serve as a follow-up to her 2023 eighth studio album Endless Summer Vacation. The record featured the chart-topping hit “Flowers” and earned Miley her first Grammy Awards. Despite the enormous success of the album, Miley decided not to tour, expressing that large-scale arena tours aren’t her preference.
