Miley Cyrus has given fans another reason to rush for tickets. More than 1.2 million people entered the Ticketmaster queue for the American Express pre-sale of her two upcoming Hollywood Bowl shows, creating extraordinary demand for a venue that holds roughly 17,500 people.
The October 16 and 18 concerts, billed as “Miley: Bass Persuades – Live at the Hollywood Bowl,” will mark Cyrus’ first performances at the iconic Los Angeles venue. The shows are tied to her upcoming 10th studio album, Bass Persuades, due September 18 through Atlantic Records, with Model/Actriz set to open both nights.

Miley Cyrus has described the Hollywood Bowl dates as a homecoming, writing that “LA is my heart and I’m bringing it home.” She has also spoken about the venue as a favorite place to watch live music, making her first appearance there particularly significant after years of limited touring.
The scale of the pre-sale queue becomes even more striking when compared with the venue’s capacity. With approximately 17,500 seats available per night, two shows provide roughly 35,000 seats combined. A queue of more than 1.2 million people therefore represents demand far beyond the number of tickets available, even before the general on-sale begins.
The frenzy also reflects how unusual a full Miley Cyrus headline run has become. Her last traditional arena tour was the Bangerz Tour in 2014, while a smaller theater run followed in 2015 around Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz. She returned to the road for selected festival appearances in 2021 and 2022 but did not tour behind 2025’s Something Beautiful.
Bass Persuades is already giving fans a preview of what to expect. Miley launched the new era on September 3 with the album’s title track, a dance-pop record built around a four-on-the-floor beat, prominent bassline, disco influences and polished 1980s-style synths.
Bass Persuades will be Miley Cyrus’ first full-length release through Atlantic Records after 14 years with Sony Music. The project follows Something Beautiful and marks another major shift in an already varied career that has moved from Hannah Montana and Bangerz to rock, pop, country influences and experimental projects.
