Olivia Rodrigo has added another unprecedented achievement to her rapidly growing Billboard résumé. Following the chart-topping debut of you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, the pop superstar has become the first artist in history to see their first three lead singles and first three studio albums debut at No. 1 on Billboard’s flagship charts.

The milestone further cements Rodrigo’s remarkable consistency since her breakthrough in 2021. Her debut single, “drivers license,” opened atop the Billboard Hot 100, while SOUR debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Two years later, she repeated the feat with “vampire” and GUTS. Now, in 2026, “Drop Dead” and you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love have extended the streak.

The latest chapter arrived in April when “Drop Dead” debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100. Released as the lead single from you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, the song became Rodrigo’s fourth career chart-topper. The track followed the same path as “drivers license” and “vampire,” each serving as lead singles that opened directly at the summit.

Momentum only intensified with the release of you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 485,000 equivalent album units earned in its opening week, marking the biggest debut of Rodrigo’s career. That figure also stands as the largest opening week of 2026 for a solo artist and the biggest first-week total by a female artist this year.

Beyond the album’s chart-topping debut, Rodrigo is experiencing one of the strongest Hot 100 weeks of her career. She currently places four songs inside the top 10 simultaneously for the first time. “Stupid Song” enters at No. 3. “Drop Dead” rebounds to No. 4, “The Cure” climbs to No. 6, and “Honeybee” debuts at No. 9.

Those entries push Rodrigo’s career total to 10 Hot 100 top-10 hits. Each one debuted directly inside the top 10, making her the first woman ever to see her first 10 top-10 hits enter the chart within that region. The accomplishment places her in exceptionally rare company across the history of the Hot 100.
